Selecting a Senior Photographer that is right for you!

Once upon a time, everyone’s senior portrait looked the same – but not today. Now, high school seniors are seeking a creative approach to this time-honored tradition. While some high schools have a "contract" vendor for senior portraits, many parents and students are selecting their own photographer. I can help you in your search!

It can be a tough decision, so here are some tips for selecting the right photographer for you:

• Style. Make sure the photographer offers a style both parents and student can appreciate. According to  research, both parents and students place a high value on the memories captured by senior portraits; so the style chosen should appeal to both.
• Flexibility. Find a photographer who is flexible enough to meet your needs. For instance, many seniors desire portraits at their favorite location, or want to have a few images made with their best friends. Make sure your photographer understands your needs and is willing to fill them.
• Comfort. One of the most important aspects of photography is the relationship between the senior and the photographer. If you are uncomfortable with the photographer, it will show in the final images. Make sure you have a good rapport with your photographic professional.

Rocky the Golden pup

Isn't he the cutest pup you have ever seen?!  Meet Rocky, he is Andy's new best friend {mine too}.  Some of you that do not know Andy, he is my son and just returned back from the Middle East from his deployment in the Air Force.

What an awesome gift to come back too, I must admit.  He is an awesome pup and is visiting with me for a week.   I promise,  this little man WILL be completely potty trained before he goes back home with Andy.  He is doing SO good  and had only ONE accident so far, what a good boy he is!

Stay tuned for more pics of this awesome little man, he is a keeper {with a good set of  chompers} and I only pray that the cats give him just 1/2 of a chance...so far he is giving the cats a run for their money.

I have been getting requests for Gift Certificates.....well guess what?  Better late than never, they are here!!   It's never to late to purchase and they make WONDERFUL  gifts for any occasion!!  Portraits are priceless gifts that last for generations so plan ahead  for 2009, it's right around the corner!

This beautiful senior girl was such a pleasure to photograph and SO hilarious.  I guess I never realized someone could snort so much while they were laughing!  Kim definitely showed me that it was possible.... :-)

This girl has a very bright future ahead of her.  She wants to be a Heart Surgeon so I thought we could get a bit creative and head into the operating room for some "before" shots.   Who knows, maybe years down the road I can also do her "after" shots.   I'ts going to be a while,  so I hope my clicker finger still works.
